God and You

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you
and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11

What does God really think of you?

Lots of people, particularly those with experience in various performance-oriented, guilt-manipulating churches and cults, feel that God disapproves of them or condemns them. Many others assume God's total indifference towards them.

Psalm 103, an ancient Hebrew wisdom text, tells us that God loves you and forgives your sins . In fact, the psalm says God will "remove our transgressions (against His "ground rules") as far as east is from west." Talk about getting a "fresh start" in life-that's quite possibly as forgiven as you could hope for! Further, God "redeems" your life (so you can fulfill your true purpose) and rewards your new life with "love and compassion." God, according to the author of the 103rd Psalm, is "slow to anger", abounding in love, and has a "loving father's" compassion for His children-that's you and me!

Bottom line: God really does love you! The more you examine the wisdom of the ages, the more real God's love becomes.
